A uniquely design house for an adventurous family of 3. The customized envelope of the 2-part house challenges the usual concept of “operable window + fixed wall”. The result is a façade that is thoughtfully planned out and detailed. The sliding wall disappears into the fixed glazed opening up the perimeter of the house with framed views towards the lush greenery beyond. The house is designed as a long thin block wrapping around the edges of the site boundary. The exterior façade comprises of sliding solid panels acting as a curtain to shield off the harsh weather and visually blocking off views from the neighbours. The panels are designed such that they slide open to form the only fenestration for the exterior façade of the house.
